UMass Amherst, currently ranked among the top 30 in a field of more than 700 public, four-year colleges and universities in the United States, seeks a Talent Acquisition Manager.  This newly-created position is responsible for the development and execution of the university-wide talent acquisition strategy that provides the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a competitive advantage in acquiring talent.  This strategy will include but not be limited to branding, customized local, regional and national recruitment plans, executive search capability and effective new hire onboarding. This position manages a growing team of professionals responsible for the creating a broad and diverse pool of qualified candidates for every staff and executive search. The Talent Acquisition Manager works as a strategic partner and as a member of the HR leadership team to support diversity initiatives and foster productive relationships with candidates, hiring departments, and the University community.

Importantly, the successful candidate will possess the ability to inspire trust and have strong problem-solving, motivational, and communication skills.  He/she will exhibit superior collaborative leadership skills and executive presence.  It would be advantageous for the newcomer to offer experience working within a unionized environment.  The Talent Acquisition Manager will report to the Senior Director, Talent Management.
