The Tower Method


Kick-off Meeting

  • 1.1

    Develop a deep appreciation of your business, the culture, the technical aspects of the position, operating structure and the competitive market environment. Face-to-face on-site meetings are highly recommended.

  • 1.2

    Understand the role and responsibilities of the job, performance objectives, and the keys to short and long term success. Compensation, benefit and pay scale information is also required.

  • 1.3

    Gain an appreciation of the job's geographic location.

  • 1.4

    Identify potential talent pools and/or political no-go areas.


Search Strategy

  • 2.1

    Internal meetings are held to develop the search strategy and the approach to the search.

  • 2.2

    Preparation of the job specification to be a clear, concise and compelling marketing document combining thoughtfully crafted text supplemented by artful visuals.

  • 2.3

    By mutual agreement, a video synopsis is prepared for smartphone viewing by potential candidates.


Candidate Research and Sourcing

  • 3.1

    An ideal candidate profile is created from data collected.

  • 3.2

    A talent pool is identified as follows:

    • Search of our internal data base.
    • Investigative sourcing of external databases.
    • Direct contact with respected experts in the appropriate discipline.
    • Cold calling targeted individuals particularly in specific geographical locations and industries.
    • Releasing mass emails.
    • Attending appropriate conferences.


Identifying Qualified Candidates to the Client

  • 4.1

    The initial talent pool is qualified as follows:

    • A comprehensive phone interview.
    • A video/face-to-face interview.
    • Research of information available in the public domain.


Candidate Selection

  • 5.1

    Client/candidate interviews are arranged and coordinated by Tower. Arrangements can include phone, teleconference, in person/on-site interviews as well as transportation and lodging as required.

  • 5.2

    Follow up debriefs are held with all parties.


Candidate Verification

  • 6.1

    The finalist's educational credentials are verified and multiple professional references are performed with the candidate's permission. These are submitted to the client in writing prior to the consideration of making an offer.



  • 7.1

    We provide coordination of all aspects of this process, including guidance on competitive compensation and benefit package details as necessary, assuring you, to the best of our ability, that the actual offer will be accepted.


Placement and Follow-up

  • 8.1

    We assist the candidate in the successful termination of his/her current position and provide spousal and family support if necessary.

  • 8.2

    After placement, we follow up with the candidate and his/her manager on a regular basis to ensure smooth integration and productive performance.
