The Humane Society of the United States, the nation’s most effective animal advocacy organization, is seeking a Specialist, Training and Development for its Human Capital and Development department. The main responsibility of this position will be to conduct training needs assessments for the organization, and create in-person and online learning modules, live web-based training sessions, and supporting materials following an instructional design process. This role is also responsible for the delivery of skill-based training, coaching, and mentoring learners.
As the SME for HSUS training and development reporting to the Director, Organizational & Employee Development, the newcomer will offer at least five years of experience in the design, development and delivery of successful learning solutions. As a dynamic facilitator able to initiate and sustain productive discussions, he/she will create and implement effective training and development programs with input from other SMEs. The ideal candidate will be analytical, tech savvy, collaborative, and passionate with exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
An annual salary is budgeted around $60,000.
