Our client, VITAS Healthcare, a revered organization with more than 40 years of leadership in hospice and palliative care, seeks a highly engaging Sr. Regional Human Resources Director for its California region. The Sr. Director will serve as the HR leader and business partner to the SVPO, VPOs and GMs to drive change and enable strategic business goals for a division comprised of nearly 2,000 employees throughout Greater Sacramento Valley, San Francisco and East Bay-Oakland to Los Angeles and Ventura counties, Inland Empire, Orange County and San Diego.

Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer of this difference-making, compassionate organization characterized by commitment and achievement, the Sr. Director will provide superior leadership and expert guidance with the support of recruiters in the region. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of progressive experiences and accomplishments as a generalist within the healthcare industry, including nurse recruitment and retention strategy formulation, and the oversight of a multi-facility workforce. The successful newcomer to this role will convey strong HR functional expertise, creativity, exceptional interpersonal, relationship building, and coaching skills. This role is ideally suited for candidates based in California willing to travel 60%+ as on-site presence and interaction with employees at all levels is required. BA degree in Human Resources Management or Business Management; MBA or Masters in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred.
