Reporting to the VP, Total Rewards & HR Operations, the Director, Compensation is the internal functional expert, ensuring Cornerstone’s pay practices are equitable, market competitive, compliant, and aligned with the company’s Compensation philosophy. Supported by a team of four, the Director leads the execution and continuous improvement of the company’s Compensation programs in collaboration with business and HR leaders across the organization.
Critical to future growth, this individual must have previous experience managing Executive Compensation programs within a public company, including the preparation of Compensation data and materials for proxy disclosure and HR Compensation Committee meetings. In this comprehensive position, the Director develops and administers all executive pay plans, including long and short-term equity programs and directs, designs, and plans base salary and variable Compensation policies, initiatives, and administration. Excellent active listening and internal consulting skills will be key, as the successful candidate builds trust and partnership with Operations teams across four business segments and 100 manufacturing sites.
The ideal candidate mirrors the qualities of Cornerstone’s 20,000 team members who embody a culture grounded in customer-centricity, interconnectedness, and continuous improvement. A history of high performance successfully developing pay policies and programs and experience managing and mentoring a team is required. A background in manufacturing is important, as is previous experience navigating through environments undergoing business transformation.
Cornerstone welcomes a hybrid working arrangement! The preference is that the Director resides within a drivable distance to the company’s corporate headquarters in Cary, NC; or to the office in Houston, TX; or Brantford, Ontario, Canada.
