Our client, K. Hovnanian Companies, LLC, a leader in the home building industry and subsidiary of Hovnanian Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: HOV), is seeking a Compensation Analyst with strong analytical experience to play a key role in the management of compensation programs that promote market competitiveness and attract and retain talent while aligning with the company’s strong compensation philosophy.
The Compensation Analyst will participate in compensation surveys and prepare competitive market analyses and ensure that accurate job descriptions exist for all positions. He/she must bring an understanding of the Fair Labor Standards Act and other regulations to conduct job evaluations and ensure compliance. The Compensation Analyst will assist with bonus plan documentation and ensure proper assignment/tracking of bonuses within the HR systems, function as the administrator for the stock recordkeeping system and distribute equity awards upon vesting through coordination with the Accounting and Treasury Departments. Additionally, the Analyst will support the annual merit review process, compile and analyze compensation data for reports and projections, assist with Corporate and field executive bonus calculations and monitor/research competitive trends and regulatory requirements related to compensation. There will be opportunities to broaden and grow in all areas of compensation including executive pay.
The Compensation Analyst must possess a bachelor’s degree, at least three years of compensation experience, a track record of being detail-oriented with demonstrated experience to self-motivate. Mastery of Microsoft Excel is mandatory and a strong proficiency in Microsoft Access and Word is preferred.
