The Global Head of Executive Compensation will be based at the company’s global headquarters in Tokyo, Japan – a modern and extravagant metropolis and one of the world’s major financial hubs.
The Global Head of Executive Compensation will lead the overall design, implementation and communication of executive compensation programs. As the company is listed on two stock exchanges, the new leader will ensure all compliance and regulatory disclosures for the company’s primary listing Tokyo Stock Exchange as well as the company’s secondary listing on the NYSE as a Foreign Private Issuer.
Additionally, at global headquarters, this position is responsible for leading interactions with the Board of Directors, shareholders, and other oversight bodies for all executive compensation. The Executive Compensation Leader will take ownership of the senior executive population including contracts, executive benefits and other perquisites, regulatory disclosures and global compensation regulation compliance.
The Global Head of Executive Compensation must possess proven experience with large, multinational and complex executive compensation issues as well as strong knowledge of global executive compensation principles and governance, and how they vary across countries. The successful candidate must have exceptional EQ/SQ and be an influential communicator with outstanding presentation skills. He/she must have demonstrated experience with key stakeholders, peers and a workforce located around the world, with varying languages, time zones and cultural differences.
Reporting to the Global Head of Total Rewards, the Executive Compensation Leader will manage two direct reports.
