In addition to a range of accountabilities, the Executive Compensation Consultant will be responsible for overseeing the research, evaluation, recommendation, design, and administration of all global executive compensation strategies as defined by the Head of Global Executive Compensation, designed to ensure global attraction, motivation, and retention of quality executive talent. The Executive Compensation Consultant will safeguard the effective global delivery and management of Takeda’s global job structure processes as well as ensure consistent application of the defined job structure objectives as defined by the Head of Total Rewards. He/she will prepare required filings, including the disclosure and materials for the Compensation Committee and the Board of Directors. The Executive Compensation Consultant will manage executive compensation administration, including executive benchmarking, salary increases, short-term/long-term incentives, key metric tracking, executive benefits, stockholder ownership guidelines, executive severance, and other executive policies.
The ideal candidate will offer previous experience working across borders to manage global and local compensation considerations to align global strategy with an understanding of local market practices and country requirements. He/she must possess strong knowledge of total global compensation principles and experience working with global compensation planning technology. The Executive Compensation Consultant must have the ability to forge relationships across a range of styles and cultures at all levels within the organization.
A college degree with at least four years of experience in the executive compensation field, in either a corporate position or consulting firm is required. Strong preference for MBA, M.A. in Human Resources/Industrial Relations as well as previous experience managing all aspects of executive compensation within a multinational organization. Relocation assistance to the Cambridge, MA area will be offered, as needed.
