Our client, WestRock (NYSE:WRK), a world leader in paper and packaging with more than 50,000 team members and 320 manufacturing facilities, design centers, research labs and sales offices spanning North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia, seeks a Senior Manager, Payroll Tax to be based in Duluth, GA.  This strategic yet hands-on individual will manage the Payroll Tax operation for the organization with direct responsibility for 40,000 employees in the U.S. and Canada.  The ideal candidate is experienced in managing and growing a top-performing Payroll Tax operation and is passionate about developing innovative, cost-saving Payroll strategies and processes.  This role requires demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to establish and maintain exceptional business relationships, and work collaboratively with other organizational teams.  Reporting to the Director of Payroll and mentoring and managing one direct report, the successful candidate will benefit from opportunities to advance within this growing, values-driven company.  Ten years of progressive responsibility of Payroll Tax administration gained within large, publicly traded companies is sought.  Knowledge of payroll management, administration, tax and accounting principles, and applicable federal, state, and local laws is required; Canadian and/or international experience is preferred.  Experience working with ADP payroll services and PeopleSoft is advantageous.  Relocation assistance to the Atlanta area is available.
