The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s largest animal advocacy organization, is seeking a Manager, Employee Relations and Talent Acquisition to provide support to the Director of Employee Relations and Talent Acquisition, with the management of full life-cycle recruitment and employee relations within the organization.
The new Manager will be tasked with developing strategies to recruit a diverse workforce and meeting the staffing needs of the HSUS. He/she will also analyze and monitor the effectiveness of all recruiting activities and recommend policy and procedure revisions where needed to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness. He/she will also provide advice and counsel to department managers regarding employment activities including promotions, demotions, transfers, temporary assignments, etc., employee performance and other employee relations issues.
As a business partner and Human Resources expert, he/she will have demonstrated the ability to assert leadership skills to inspire, influence and achieve results as well as the potential and desire for expanded succession roles in the future. This role emphasizes a need for keen adaptability and innovative thinking to shape an enviable work culture. In addition, the newcomer must be confident, engaging, articulate, energetic, and a clear and effective communicator able to manage two direct reports.

A Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience required; Master’s degree in Human Resources or HRCI/SHRM certification is highly preferred. A minimum five years of experience in employee relations and talent acquisition required. A competitive annual salary is budgeted around $80,000.
