Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited (TSE:4502/NYSE:TAK), our client and one of the world’s largest research and development-driven biopharmaceutical companies with revenues of $16.6 billion in 2018 and an illustrious history that spans centuries, seeks a Head of Global Benefits to be based at the company’s U.S. headquarters located outside of Boston, MA.
Reporting to the Head of Global Total Rewards, the Head of Global Benefits will oversee all aspects of Takeda’s global benefits programs, including health and welfare, retirement (pension and 401(k)), vacation and holidays, and ancillary benefits for approximately 50,000 employees in over 70 countries. This role will serve as an influential member of the Total Rewards leadership team and manage and mentor a diverse and geographically dispersed team of benefit thought professionals. The Benefits Leader will have responsibility of developing the global benefits strategy and demonstrate a deep understanding of global trends with a drive for delivering innovative and sustainable programs that are employee centered and fiscally responsible.
The Head of Global Benefits must possess a bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of benefits experience, in positions of increasing responsibility, within large, multinational, companies. He/she must have demonstrated experience in developing and administering complex strategies and philosophies, as well as the ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed focus on execution.
